Nambour Civic Centre - Centenary Square, Currie Street, Nambour.

Facilities for hire for commercial hirers, community groups and individuals include:

Main Hall

A multi-purpose venue suitable for

• live performances and conferences (seating up to 800 people)
• dinners, weddings and balls (table seating to 500)
• displays and exhibitions ( 530 square meters)
• discos (1200 capacity)

Theatre

• A tiered seating venue suitable for cinema - large screen and projector - live theatre performances, seminars, meetings (seating up to 280 people)

Foyer

• A flexible foyer space suitable for meetings (up to 100 people)
• displays and receptions (400 square meters)

Kitchen

• A fully equipped kitchen is available for hire by registered caterers for both internal and external events.

Catering Facilities

Nambour Civic Centre has a fully-equipped kitchen available for hire by registered caterers for both internal and external events. Caterers are able to hire these facilities to cater for a simple cocktail function through to a multi-course self service smorgasbord or full dinner service banquets.

Nambour Civic Centre can also assist hirers, who wish to self-cater, with glassware, crockery and cutlery hire.

Kiosk - The Centre's Kiosk operates during most events at the Centre.
Foyer Bar - The Centre is a Licensed Public Facility and the Foyer Bar is open before, during and after most major performances.

General Technical Information

Nambour Civic Centre has a wide range of technical equipment and facilities available as well as highly skilled technical operations staff.

Our Main Hall has a counterweight fly-system suitable for flying theatrical scenery, extensive lighting systems and custom projection arrangements.  We also stock some of the latest radio microphones, sound, projection and digital lighting equipment available.

Unless arranged otherwise, the Theatre and Main Hall are hired in the following configuration:

Standard Seating Configuration

Stage furnishings and lighting bars hanging as per standard hanging plot.

Lighting system rigged, coloured, patched and focussed for standard plot

Any variations to the existing configuration can be easily accommodated with consultation with the Technical Coordinator on 07-5475-7770.
(Any such variation or any technical undertaking is subject at all times to the approval of the Centre’s Technical Coordinator.)

Technicians

A mandatory Duty Technician for all  functions will be rostered at the discretion of the Technical Coordinator. The Duty Technician is not a member of the show crew, but is on hand to open the venue, supervise hirers, maintain security, liaise with Front-of-House and Backstage staff and is on call for maintenance throughout the venue.
