Bookings are encouraged from 7am through to Midnight, Monday to Sunday, the Venue curfew is midnight.
The Community Halls operate on a self service model, therefore we supply all the tables and chairs (please see Venue Hire Application for further details) and it is the responsibility of the hirer to set up and pack down. As a result, it is imperative to include adequate time either side of your event to allow for set-up/pack down.
Some users are covered under our Public Liability Insurance. To determine whether or not you are covered, please view our Venue Hire Application Form for details. If your event is not covered by our Policy, you will be required to provide us with a copy of your Insurance before your event can be confirmed.
Every event will require a bond payment; the categories are as follows:
Major / High Risk Event
Non-Regular User
Regular User
A Major Event or High Risk event is determined as any function that involves alcohol and any function that is expecting a large attendance.
e.g. Wedding / Birthday Party.
A Non-Regular User is also referred to as a ‘Casual Booking’, a group that wishes to hire the Venue for less than 10 events within a 12 month period.
e.g. Meeting / Seminar.
A Regular User must hold 10 or more events, booked in advance, within a 12 month period.
e.g. Weekly dance classes / Monthly meetings.
Each category incurs a different cost; please refer to CC&V Fees & Charges for further information.
If you are holding an event that involves alcohol, then it is a requirement that Security is engaged for the duration of the event. Security will be arranged by the Venue, for further information, please refer to the Venue Hire Application.
If your event does not involve alcohol, but is determined as a ‘Major Event’ the Facilities Coordinator will advise that Security is to be engaged in order to confirm the booking. Security will be arranged by the Venue, for further information, please refer to the Venue Hire Application.
Once you have submitted your Venue Hire Application, a Deposit Invoice will be sent out. Once the non-refundable deposit has been paid in full, you will receive a confirmation of your booking details.
Please note, 14 days prior to your event date, the balance of hire fees and the bond must be paid in full, failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your event.
The Venue Hire Application only covers events that occur within the Venue, if you would like to include the surrounding grounds (e.g. Council Park adjacent to the Hall) as part of your event, you must submit an application for a Temporary Event.
