Pat (Cooper), has lost everything, his house, his job and his wife.  After eight months in a State Institution he now finds himself living with his mother (Jacki Weaver) and father (De Niro).  Determined to remain positive, his regime is sidetracked when he meets Tiffany (Lawrence), a girl with problems of her own.  Tiffany helps Pat reconnect with his wife, but only if he’ll do something for her in return.
