About the venue
The Lake Kawana Community Centre is a multi-functional air-conditioned venue set on the banks of Lake Kawana.

This modern Community Venue lends itself to a variety of uses and events, offering 15 different spaces for hire with flexibility for any event or occasion.

The Venue Caters for up to 500 banquet style, 750 theatre style, and standing for over 1000 in its main halls alone which offer themsleves to a diversity of uses. The two larger halls are supported by large performance stages equipped with high quality sound and lighting infrastucture plus the addition of an orchestra pit, Green Room and dressing rooms.

Many additional spaces are multifunctional and flexible and can be used in conjunction with one another for a range of occasions from community classes and meetings, through to weddings, productions and concerts. Spaces can be unfurnished for more physical activities or configured in a variety of ways including theatre style for productions, performances and presentations through to a banquet style layout for conferences, weddings, ceremonies and gala dinners.

A commercial kitchen and a number of smaller kitchenettes, food serving areas, outdoor relaxation and dining areas adjoin many of the spaces available for hire.

Staff are more than happy to help you create a successful event and will be on hand throughout to ensure its success.

FAQ for Visitors
What parking options are available?
The Venue has approx 50 dedicated parking spots. There are also over 75 shared car parks adjacent to the Venue with a high vacancy. There are also a number of street parking spots surrounding the Venue.

What public transport options are available?
Sunshine Coast bus services run regularly along the Nicklin Way which is parallel to Sportsmans Parade The closest bus stop is on the corner of Meridan Street, approximately a 300m walk from the Venue.
