Update accurate as at 2 June 2020

Sunday’s announcement about the bringing forward of stage 2 COVID-19 relaxations was welcome news to many people and businesses throughout the State. We are awaiting the release of industry-specific COVID Safe Plans which will outline how several of Council’s public facilities, including the The J, can safely operate with larger numbers of people. It is hoped these plans will be released by the State Government by the end of this week.
Once Council has reviewed and understood the plans we will be able to provide an update about possible facility reopenings. Until this occurs our facilities will remain closed to the public. Council will continue to take a careful and measured approach to ensure patron and staff safety and financial responsibility for ratepayers. We thank you for your understanding.
