Experience incredible Australian and international short films from more than 20 countries, new feature length films and Q&As with the directors plus industry workshops, presented over four days across Noosa and Eumundi.
NIFF at The J – Saturday 27 October
Official Selection short films will screen at multiple sessions at The J Noosa on Saturday 27th. Our diverse themed sessions on Women & Film, Real Stories and Horror are sure to entertain.
10am: SHORT FILM SESSION 1 – Wake in Fright
Be thrilled and chilled in the Outback and in the Big Smoke, while you enjoy your first cuppa in the morning.
12pm: SHORT FILM SESSION 2 – Women & Film
Films made by women and about women, to inspire, captivate and intrigue through stories of love – lost and found.
2pm: SHORT FILM SESSION 3 – Stories We Tell: Part I
Fables and fantasy, fun and love in these tales from across Australia
4pm: SHORT FILM SESSION 4 – Based on a True Story
Inventors, prime ministers, donut makers and artists are but a few individuals who share their lives with us.

6.30pm – NIFF 2018 SHORT FILM AWARDS SHOW
Presenting the official selection short film finalists and winners for 2018 with a special extended screening of the winning films. The ten prize category winners will be announced and receive their awards, presented in person by Academy Award-winning Cinematographer and NIFF Founding Patron, John Seale ACS ASC, hosted by Mark Darin, 92.7Mix FM.
